History

The Animal Hospital of Oshkosh is a veterinary practice caring for small animal pets, such as dogs, cats, small mammals and exotics. It originally opened in March, 1998 under the ownership of John Merrick, D.V.M. Dr. Merrick lived and practiced in Kenosha, so Diane K. Grede, D.V.M. was hired to operate and manage this clinic. Dr. Grede purchased the practice from Dr. Merrick in August, 2001 and has held it solely since.

The practice originally opened in a 2200 sq. ft. storefront just east of the current location. The clinic maintained that location for 7 years until February 2006 when we moved next door to a new free-standing building designed specifically to meet the needs of a growing, progressive animal hospital.

Post-surgical and critically ill patients are closely monitored in our intensive care unit where patient care and comfort are emphasized for a rapid and complete recovery.

We, at The Animal Hospital of Oshkosh, feel that service and compassion are our biggest attributes. We want to be able to spend the time necessary to listen, understand and address any veterinary concerns owners have regarding their pets. We are animal lovers helping animals. Whether dogs or cats, rabbits or hamsters, iguanas or hedgehogs, they are beloved by us all.
