Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Diane Grede
Dr. Diane always knew she was going to be a veterinarian. Since the age of 4, her only goal in life was to be an “Animal Doctor”. Her goals never wavered while growing up. She attended Carroll College and Michigan State University for undergraduate bachelor degrees in Biology and Chemistry, followed by post-graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated with Honors with her D.V.M. degree in 1992.
In her first five years in practice, Dr. Diane worked in Beaver Dam doing large & small animal medicine, but decided to pursue small animal medicine exclusively when she moved to Oshkosh in 1998. She was the sole veterinarian when the Animal Hospital of Oshkosh opened in 1998 and purchased the business outright from the previous owner in 2001. Under Dr. Diane and her husband Brad’s leadership, the Animal Hospital of Oshkosh has now grown to include 5 veterinarians, 24 support staff, and a new 5000-sq ft facility which opened in February, 2006.
Dr. Diane’s veterinary interests include an interest in endocrinology which is the study of glands and hormones that influence or regulate other organs in the body. Her particular interest in this area is the study and treatment of diabetes mellitus. She also has strong interests in surgery and exotic animal medicine, including treatment of exotics, such as reptiles and rabbits.
“I will do my absolute best to make you and your pet welcome and comfortable. I will spend the necessary time with you to listen, understand and correct any veterinary concerns you have about your pet. I believe in clear communication and working together with you to make informed decisions regarding your pet’s health care. I strive to provide the highest quality veterinary care with a relaxed, personal touch.”

Dr. Heidi Burnett, dipl. AVBP

Dr. Heidi Burnett grew up in Florida and graduated from Cornell University with high honors in Neurobiology and Animal Behavior.  She obtained her Veterinary degree from the University of Florida in 1990, and moved to Wisconsin in 1996.  She became a diplomat of the progressive American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 1999.  Dr. Burnett is one of only 6 veterinarians in the state who is board certified in canine and feline practice.

Dr. Heidi’s special interests include complex internal medicine cases, dermatology, feline medicine and behavior.  After several years experience in emergency and critical care, she has chosen to work in private practice because she delights in knowing her clients and patients well.

Dr. Becky Bosetski
Dr. Becky Bosetski was born and raised in Manitowoc, WI, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2000.  She then went on to obtain her degree as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2004.  After completion of veterinary school, Dr. Bosetski’s path took her out west to Seattle, WA.  Here she practiced at a large, progressive practice for three rewarding years.
Dr. Becky and her family returned to Wisconsin to be closer to their friends and family.  After moving back home, Dr. Becky spent some time working at a small rural practice, as well as working at an emergency veterinary facility.  Now she is excited to again be a part of a progressive team of doctors, and looks forward to establishing relationships with her clients and patients.  Dr. Becky’s professional interests include all aspects of small animal internal medicine, with special emphasis on our feline friends.

Dr. Katie Davis

Dr. Katie Davis grew up in Beloit, Wisconsin.  She attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2003.  She then traveled to the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies.  There she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and finished her clinical year of studies at UW Madison.  She received her degree in January of 2007.
After receiving her degree, Dr. Katie’s career began in Rockford, Illinois where she practiced in a small animal clinic for 3 years.  In September of 2009 Dr. Katie married her husband Brad and continued working part-time in Rockford until June of 2010 when she joined our team.
Dr. Katie and her husband have been living in the area since 2010 and have since started a family. They welcomed a daughter in September 2010 and a second little girl in September 2012. When Dr. Katie is not at the hospital she enjoys traveling to see her family and friends, movies, and remodeling their Victorian home.
Internal medicine and preventative care are some of Dr. Katie’s professional interests.  She is excited to continue her career at a progressive and high quality practice with a team that is dedicated to making every pet and their family happy and comfortable.

Dr. Carrie Harness

Because of a strong affinity for animals Dr. Carrie knew from an early age she needed to become a veterinarian. For most of her youth she lived in a small town Northwest of Chicago where she spent many hours of her free time caring for a variety of animals.  She then went on to attend Iowa State University to obtain her degree in Microbiology and minor in Animal Science continuing on to attend Iowa State’s College of Veterinary Medicine as well, graduating in 2007.
After graduation she and her husband Clint moved to the Fox Cities where they share their home with six fabulous felines, who make sure they keep their priorities straight. When she’s not busy in the garden, she enjoys photography, cooking, reading, and crafting. Dr. Carrie also volunteers with Saving Paws and Wish Upon A Paw, two local rescues, because she is an advocate for adopting “previously loved pets” and giving them a second chance at a forever home.
After six years in practice Dr. Carrie decided to join The Animal Hospital of Oshkosh team, because she understands the importance of our pets as family members. She believes that clear communication and a team oriented approach to medicine, that includes the pet owner every step of the way, is critical to quality care. She works to minimize patient stress by creating a fear free environment to allow her to be more effective in that care.

Her primary interests include behavior, internal medicine, comfort control, feline medicine and nutritional supplements. She was the first to introduce laser therapy to the Fox Valley and remains a strong supporter of this exciting technology.

Dr. Holly Kallio

Dr. Holly grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin. She graduated from Cornell College in 2000 with a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She then graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Dr. Holly’s large interest in feline medicine led her to Barcroft Cat Clinic in the D.C. area. After a couple years in feline only medicine, she decided she missed dogs and went to a small animal clinic in that area.

In 2007, Dr. Holly came back to the Fox Cities to be closer to family. For a number of years, she was the Resident Veterinarian at Globe University teaching veterinary technicians and taking care of the rescue animals.

She missed seeing patients and their parents so works at the Animal Hospital of Oshkosh. She has a special interest in feline medicine and dermatology. She also enjoys working with exotics.

When Dr. Kallio is not spending time with the animals, she enjoys playing with her two daughters, reading, knitting and gardening.

Dr. Carla Edwards

Dr. Carla has been a veterinarian for nearly 30 years and enjoys the diversity of patients, clients, challenges, and new treatments in the ever-changing practice of medicine. She feels that the true reward comes from keeping pets healthy and developing friendships with families in the process.

Her first job was in Hartford as a large animal veterinarian for 5 years. Then she moved to the Fox Valley area with her family in 1992 and has been a small animal veterinarian ever since.
