Dr. Heidi Burnett grew up in Florida and graduated from Cornell University with high honors in Neurobiology and Animal Behavior. She obtained her Veterinary degree from the University of Florida in 1990, and moved to Wisconsin in 1996.
She became a diplomat of the progressive American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 1999. Dr. Burnett is one of only a handful of veterinarians in the state who is board certified in canine and feline practice.
After several years experience in emergency and critical care, she has chosen to work in private practice because she delights in knowing her clients and patients well.
Dr. Burnett’s special interests include complex internal medicine cases, dermatology, feline medicine and behavior.
Dr. Becky Bosetski was born and raised in Manitowoc, WI and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2000. She then went on to the University of Illinois for Vet School and completed her degree in 2004.
After completing Vet School Dr. Becky’s path took her out West to Seattle, WA. After practicing there in a large, progressive practice for 3 rewarding years, Dr. Becky and her family returned to Wisconsin to be closer to their family and friends. Dr. Becky then spent some time practicing medicine at a small, rural practice as well as an emergency facility until joining us here at AHO.
Dr. Becky’s professional interest include all aspects of small animal internal medicine with a special emphasis on our feline friends.
Dr. Hannah was born and raised right here in Oshkosh. From a very young age, Dr. Hannah had no doubt in her mind she wanted to pursue veterinary medicine. In 2014, she graduated from UW-Platteville with a bachelors in Animal Science and Biology. She then attended St. George's University in Grenada studying veterinary medicine. After completing her clinical training at the University of Minnesota in 2019, she began her veterinary career at a quiet, two doctor small animal practice just north of Fond du lac. She enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine with a special interest in client education, preventative medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Hannah resides in Lamartine with her husband and two dogs. When she is not at work, she helps out as a volunteer first responder for her township. She also enjoys reading, spending time gardening and landscaping around their house as well as planning her next DIY house project.
Dr. Katie Davis grew up in Beloit, WI. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2003. She then traveled to the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies where she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She finished her clinical year of studies at UW-Madison and received her degree in January of 2007.
Dr. Katie’s career began in Rockford, Il where she practiced in a small animal clinic for 3 years. She relocated to Oshkosh area in 2010 and has been with us ever since!
When Dr. Katie is not at the hospital she enjoys traveling to her see her family and friends, movies and remodeling their Victorian home.
Dr. Katie’s professional interests are internal medicine and preventive care.
Because of a strong affinity of animals, Dr. Carrie Harness knew from an early age she needed to become a veterinarian. For most of her youth she lived in a small town northwest of Chicago where she spent many hours of her free time caring for a variety of animals. She received her Bachelors degree in Microbiology with a minor in Animal Science at Iowa State University. She continued on there as well and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine.
She moved to the Fox Valley Area after graduation and practiced in the area for 6 years before joining AHO. Dr. Carrie also volunteers with Saving Paws and Wish Upon a Paw, two local rescues, because she is an advocate for adopting “previously loved pets” and giving them a second chance at a forever home.
When she’s not busy in the garden, she enjoys photography, cooking, reading and crafting.
Dr. Carrie’s primary interests include behavior, internal medicine, comfort control, feline medicine and nutritional supplements. She was the first to introduce laser therapy to the Fox Valley and remains a strong supporter of this technology.
Dr. Alissa Milonczyk grew up in the small, rural, Central Wisconsin town of Stratford. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since playing “dress up” in kindergarten. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison for both her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Veterinary School. While in Vet School, she was part of a clinic that provided low to no cost veterinary care to the often underserved low income community in Madison called WisCares. She also achieved her Fear Free certification.
Dr. Alissa graduated Vet School in the spring of 2020 and started her Veterinary Career in Neenah the following June. Dr. Alissa joined us at the Animal Hospital of Oshkosh in January of 2021. Her professional interests are ophthalmology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery and animal behavior. She practices medicine with an emphasis on client education, increasing access to Veterinary Care and One Health (people, animals and environment are closely intertwined which means the health of one greatly impacts the health of others).
In her free time, Dr. Alissa enjoys anything outdoors (hiking, backpacking, camping, swimming, fishing, hunting, etc.), crafts, DIY home projects and dance! Dr. Alissa is an accomplished dancer from ballet and jazz when she was younger to ballroom dancing in college and beyond. She has competed at both the amateur and collegiate level and she and her dance partner even started their own business teaching dance!.
Dr. Diana Perdomo Tornbaum grew up on farms with all sorts of animals and as you can imagine she had all kinds of adventures. One memorable adventure was attempting to ride a cow like a horse – the cow was NOT amused! She attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison for her undergrad before moving on to Cornell University for veterinary School.
Dr. Tornbaum started her veterinary career at a small animal practice in Madison, WI. She then joined the Animal Hospital of Oshkosh in April 2022. Her primary professional interest is in preventative medicine.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family of which includes 3 cats, 1 dog, 1 Russian tortoise and 1 Hognose snake and many humans too. She likes any lake activities, reading, gaming, photography and even dabbles in coding.
